Our next play is to be staged at Lowther Pavilion is Donkey’s Years by Michael Frayn.

Donkey’s Years is a hilarious, fast paced farce set in the grounds of one of the lesser colleges at one of the older universities. It’s twenty years after graduation and six former students return to their college for a reunion dinner. While their lives may have had varying degrees of success, all are connected by a common past. Once locked in college for the night, the graduates begin to relive their youth, and old friendships, feuds and the much desired but absurdly proper Master's wife come tumbling back into the present.

The play is directed by Jeff Redfern and will be performed at Lowther Pavilion in Lytham from the 10th -13th March 2010.

  2009 NODA Awards ....

The glittering awards ceremony took place at Blackpool’s Imperial Hotel on Saturday the 31st October and the event had a different format to previous years. This time we were only advised in advance of the nominations and the actual winners were announced on the night.

Fylde Coast Players were nominated for a very impressive four awards:

Peter Taylor, Best Director for Blood Brothers;

Tony Lancaster, Best Actor for Mickey in Blood Brothers;

Sarah Jane Stone, Best Actress for Mrs Johnstone in Blood Brothers

Fylde Coast Players, Best Play for Blood Brothers.

We are really pleased to announce that Peter Taylor won Best Director and the society won Best Play! This is in addition to the four nominations we had at this years regional event and the 2 awards that we scooped on that occasion.

 Congratulations once again to all involved and we hope you all had a great time at the party!

  Society Archivist wanted!....

Fylde Coast Players are one of the longest running Amateur Dramatic Societies in the area and we know that many members have information about the group, photos, press cuttings, programmes etc going back over the years and it would be great to have it all collated together and looked after.

If you are interested in becoming the ‘society archivist’ or know someone who might be, please let us know.
