The very first caravan on our site

This is a picture of the very first caravan on the FCMFA site around 1978. It was sent up to us by David Wadsworth who was one of the original members back then and now lives in Bristol and is still enjoying the hobby. David was pleased to read about the clubs progress on the web site.

Can any members identify anyone or even themselves on the picture?

Does anyone have any more old prints that can be scanned on to the site?

The towers come down

Look closely - bottom left and you will see our caravan at the time one of the cooling towers was blasted. members were a little nervous about damage but were assured all would be ok.

The caravan survived

All the worries came to nothing as the dust settles and the cooling tower dropped perfectly within itself.

Unusual transport

Dereck Moffatt used to ride the short distance from his home in Fleetwood with his trainer fully assembled and ready to fly on the carrier!!!!!
